Type Locality and Naming
Shuangshitou village, 2 km east of Shangcheng County, Henan Province. Named by Nie Zongsheng, Zhao Buyi, Song Dake, 1959, Dedicated to First National Stratigraphical Conference by Beijing College of Geology, (3): 9–24.
Lithology and Thickness
Sandstone, with interbeds of conglomerate and the alternating beds of quartzose sandstone and carbonaceous slate
